Raj Begum (Kashmiri: राज बेगम (Devanagari), راج بیگم (Nastaleeq); 27 March 1927 – 26 October 2016) was a leading 20th-century Kashmiri singer.[1]
She was recognized with the Padma Shri award in 2002.[2] Begum was born in Srinagar in 1927 and died in 2016, aged 89.[3]
