Rain Chudori-Soerjoatmodjo (born November 10, 1994) is an Indonesian writer. [1]
She is the daughter of the writer Leila Chudori and granddaughter of the journalist Muhammad Chudori.[2]
Her first short story, Smoking With God, was published at 14. She has written for The Jakarta Post, The Jakarta Globe, and Tempo. She founded the literary journal The Murmur House.[3]
Her first feature film Rocket Rain was nominated in Jogja-Netpac Film Festival and won the Geber Award. The film was nominated for Best Non-Cinema Feature Film and Best Director (won) in Apresiasi Film Indonesia. She was nominated for Best New Actress by Piala Maya Indonesia.[4]
Her first short story collection Monsoon Tiger And Other Stories was published by KPG Gramedia in 2015.[5] It debuted in Frankfurt Book Fair 2015 and is in its third reprint.
