Raúl de Tomás Gómez (Spanish pronunciation: [ra'ul de to'mas]; born 17 October 1994) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Real Valladolid, on loan from Real Madrid.

Club career

Born in Madrid to a Dominican mother,[1] De Tomás joined Real Madrid's youth setup in 2004, after starting it out at CD San Roque de Lepe. He played his first senior match on 8 April 2012, playing the last 21 minutes for the C-team in a 2–0 home win against CF Pozuelo de Alarcón for the Tercera División championship.

De Tomás was promoted to the C's in the 2012 summer, with the side now in Segunda División B. On 17 August 2012 he made his debut for the reserves, coming on as a late substitute for Juanfran in a 1–2 away loss against Villarreal CF for the Segunda División championship.[2]

On 16 December, back with the C-team, De Tomás scored a hat-trick in a 5–2 home routing of CD Marino.[3] He continued to appear with the side and with Castilla during the campaign, and was definitely promoted to the latter in September 2013.[4]

De Tomás scored his first professional goal on 4 December 2013, neting Castilla's first in a 3–2 home win against Girona FC.[5] He contributed with seven goals in 27 appearances over the season, as his side suffered relegation.

In July 2014 De Tomás was included in the main squad for its pre-season trip to the United States.[6] He made his first team debut on 29 October 2014, replacing Karim Benzema in a 4–1 Copa del Rey success at UE Cornellà.[7][8]

On 31 August 2015 De Tomás was loaned to Córdoba CF in the second tier, in a season-long deal.[9] Roughly one year later, he moved to fellow league team Real Valladolid also in a temporary deal.[10]
