Q Radio Network
The Q Radio Network is a group of seven local radio stations in Northern Ireland owned by the Northern Media Group. The head office is in Woodside Industrial Estate, Ballymena and the seven stations are:
- Q96 - Belfast (formerly Belfast CityBeat)
- Q97.2 - Coleraine (formerly Causeway Coast Radio)
- Q100.5 - Newry (formerly Five FM)
- Q101.2 - Omagh/Enniskillen (formerly Q101.2 West)
- Q102.9 - Derry (formerly Riverside 101FM)
- Q106.7 - Cookstown (formerly Mid FM, and then Six FM)
- Q107 - Ballymena (formerly Seven Towers FM, and then Seven FM)
The original Q Network stations were Q102.9, Q97.2 & Q101.2. Five, Six and Seven FM were rebranded on air to the new Q Radio brand as of 2011 and Belfast CityBeat as of 2015.
The company is a consortium of some of the key players in the media industry on the island of Ireland and comprises The Irish News, the Alpha Newspaper Group (the largest weekly newspaper group in Northern Ireland) and River Media (who own thirteen newspapers and the radio stations Kfm in Kildare and Ocean FM in Sligo/North Leitrim/South Donegal in the Republic of Ireland).
