Puttige

Puthige, Dakshina Kannada (Puthige) is a small village in Udupi district near Hiryadka. The place is famous due to the Puttige matha (monastery) belonging to the group of ashta (eight) mathas founded by Dvaita saint Sri Madhvacharya of Udupi. This is located at bank of Swarna river.
