Following the release of Oram Po, Pushkar and Gayathri began work on another comedy film titled Rakkozhi with Jai and Lekha Washington in the lead roles. However as a result of Jai's busy schedule, the film was postponed.[2][3]

Describing it as an action film set in the world of encounter cops, they revealed that Vijay Sethupathi had been signed to play a gangster called Veda, in the film.[4]
