Polly Courtice
Dame Veronica Anne Courtice, DBE, LVO, known as Polly Courtice (born 1952), is Director of the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership[1] at the University of Cambridge.
Courtice is a member of the University of Cambridge Board of Executive and Professional Education and the Northwest Cambridge Development Quality Panel. She is a Director of Jupiter Green Investment Trust,[2] a Non-Executive Director of Anglian Water Services Ltd,[3] and is on the environmental/sustainability advisory board for a number of companies including AstraZeneca, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP, Lloyds Banking Group and Nespresso.[4]
Courtice was appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) in the 2008 Birthday Honours. She is the recipient of the 2015 Stanford Bright Award for Environmental Sustainability.
She was appointed Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire (DBE) in the 2016 Birthday Honours for services to sustainability leadership.[5]
Courtice has an MA from the University of Cambridge and is a graduate of the University of Cape Town.
