Joan Freeman (born 1957/58) is an Irish psychologist and founder of the Pieta House suicide prevention charity.[1] She was nominated to Seanad Éireann in May 2016.[2][3] She is closely associated with the Catholic hierarchy being a member of the Irish Catholic Bishops Commission on Social Affairs.[4][5][6]
