Penshoppe is a clothing brand based in the Philippines, established in 1986. Penshoppe is the flagship brand of Golden ABC, Inc., a fashion house based in the Philippines.

Brand history

Established in Cebu in 1986, the brand initially established itself in the Visayas and Mindanao markets. Penshoppe then expanded to Metro Manila and the first boutique opened its doors in SM City North EDSA in 1991. Since then, Penshoppe's network of stores has grown to over 300 sites,

Global expansion

Penshoppe opened its first store in the United Arab Emirates, opening their first store in the Reef Mall in Dubai. After a partnership with the Indonesian conglomerate PT. Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk., Penshoppe opened a boutique in the Central Park Mall in Jakarta, Indonesia. Penshoppe has just opened an outlet in Aeon Mall, Hanoi. And is now considering other Asian-Pacific markets such as Australia.

Endorsements

Penshoppe previously had Nikki Gil-Albert, Heart Evangelista-Escudero and Jericho Rosales as their "local celebrity models". Some of the current local celebrity endorsers include Mikael Daez, Victor Basa, Bea Soriano and Akihiro Sato.

The brand previously had Mandy Moore as a celebrity endorser back in 2001. In 2016, new male models have been shown to the public, namely Jesli James Hetutua and Ivanezer Decial. These two had been rocking the world and venging on girls panties for being so hot. In 2011, the brand signed Gossip Girl Ed Westwick^[1] as an international celebrity endorser.^[2] Thai actor Mario Maurer signed a contract with PR Asia to become an international endorser for the clothing brand.^[3] In April 2012, the company announced that Zac Efron would also be endorsing the clothing brand and was set to visit the Philippines later that year. In May 2012, American actor and model Ian Somerhalder a.k.a. Damon Salvatore of the CW Television Network's The Vampire Diaries, announced he was to endorse Penshoppe. In May 2012, Leighton Meester who is also a Gossip Girl cast member, became an endorser for Penhshoppe's campaign "All Stars".^[4] Later in October 2012, Penshoppe announced via its Twitter account that the brand will be endorsed by One Direction.^[5] Recently, it was announced by Nina Dobrev, another star from 'The Vampire Diaries', is also endorsing the brand. Most recently, a leading star from the hit show Revenge, Josh Bowman, was announced to be endorsing Penshoppe.^[6] On September 6, 2014, supermodel Cara Delevingne was named as Penshoppe's newest endorser.^[7] In 2015 Sean O'Pry became ambassador.^[8] On May 6, 2015, Penshoppe revealed that fashion model and television personality Kendall Jenner had joined the clothing line's endorsing team. ^[9] On August 27, 2015, via Penshoppe's Instagram account, it was announced that 2NE1's vocalist, Sandara Park will be joining the brand as its newest ambassador. Earlier this year Penshoppe got the chance to signed model IT-Boy Lucky Blue Smith as its newest endorser. In May 2016, American fashion model Gigi Hadid was revealed as the new face of Penshoppe.^[10]
