Pavonia multiflora, the Brazilian Candles or Many Flowers, is a species of flowering plants in the mallow family, Malvaceae.

Description
Pavonia multiflora can reach a height of 1.5–2.5 metres (4 ft 11 in–8 ft 2 in). This evergreen shrub has a dark green and glossy foliage. Leaves are lance-shaped, about six inches long. The red or dark pink bracts surround cone-shaped purple upright flowers - about 6 cm across - with protruding dark blue stamens. Flowering period usually extends from late Spring to early Fall, but in the right conditions this plant can bloom all winter long.[3]
