Paul Yoon
Paul Yoon (born 1980 in New York City) is an American fiction writer.
Yoon graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1998[1] and Wesleyan University in 2002.[2][3] His first book, Once the Shore, was selected as a New York Times Notable Book,[4] a Los Angeles Times,[5] San Francisco Chronicle,[6] Publishers Weekly,[7] Minneapolis Star Tribune[8] Best Book of the Year, and a National Public Radio Best Debut of the Year.[9] His work has appeared in the PEN/O. Henry Prize Stories,[10] and he is the recipient of a 5 under 35 Award from the National Book Foundation.[11] Recently a part of the faculty of the Bennington Writing Seminars,[12] he lived in Baltimore with author Laura van den Berg.[13] Currently, Yoon is "The Writer in Residence" at Phillips Academy in Andover, Massachusetts.[14]
