Ted Panken

Ted Panken is an American writer and jazz journalist. He contributes to Down Beat, Jazziz, and Jazz Times, among other publications. From 1985 to 2008 he broadcast jazz and creative music on WKCR. He has written more than 500 liner notes, and has contributed consequently to the New York Daily News and the now-defunct jazz.com e-zine. Panken is a member of the nominating committee for the Jazz Journalists Association's Critics' Choice Awards.[1]
