PSPS, an acronym for Persatuan Sepak Bola Pekanbaru dan Sekitarnya is an Indonesian football team based in Pekanbaru. They compete in the division of Indonesian football, Liga Indonesia. In media, the club is often referred to as the tautology PSPS Pekanbaru.
After they finished in third position in the Liga Indonesia Premier Division 2008-2009, PSPS were directly promoted to Indonesia Super League for the 2009-2010 season. They play at the 20,000 capacity Rumbai Stadium.[3]
