Osler Club
The Osler Club of London is a society founded in 1928 to "encourage the study of the history of medicine, especially amongst medical students, and to keep fresh the memory of Sir William Osler". Membership of the Osler Club is open to medical men and women, medical students, and persons associated with the history of medicine and in allied sciences.
The Club meets on average once every two months, and a members' paper is presented, consisting of some original Research.
Reflecting Sir Oslers' humanistic approach, topics are not solely confined to history of medicine, and contributions in the past have touched on ethics, law as well as modern changes affecting society and medicine in its midst.
The Club was one one of the four original affiliated members of the British Society for the History of Medicine.
