Orune (Sardinian: Orùne) is a comune (municipality) in the Province of Nuoro in the Italian region Sardinia, located about 130 kilometres (81 mi) north of Cagliari and about 11 kilometres (7 mi) north of Nuoro. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,902 and an area of 128.6 square kilometres (49.7 sq mi).[1]
Orune borders the following municipalities: Benetutti, Bitti, Dorgali, Lula, Nule, Nuoro.
