Oliver Holzwarth

Oliver Holzwarth is a German bass guitarist. He was born on 19 October 1967 in Landshut, Germany. He played bass as official member in Rhapsody of Fire along with his brother, drummer Alex Holzwarth. Oliver had been the live/studio bass player for Blind Guardian between 1998 and 2012. Moreover, he is a member of the side project Coldseed.

He also was the bass player of the progressive metal band Sieges Even, which he and his brother were founding members of, and played bass for power metal band Power Quest. In 2009–2010, he toured with Tarja Turunen.[1]

In 2011, he released an EP called The Mirror of Silence with Pergana.[2] He also joined Rhapsody of Fire as a permanent member following the departure of Patrice Guers until his departure in August 2014.
