Nuno Henrique dos Santos Páramos Merino (born 2 July 1980) is a Portuguese individual trampolinist, representing his nation at international competitions. Merino participated at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens finishing 6th.[1] He competed at world championships, including at the 1999, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2010 and 2011 Trampoline World Championships.[2] At the 2012 Gymnastics Olympic Test Event he was not able to qualify for the 2012 Summer Olympics.
On 17 March 2014 37 athletes incling Merino from the 28 Olympic sports were chosen by the IOC to be role models at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. The athletes will offer support, mentor and advice to the participating youth Olympians. As an athlete role model they will take part in activities and workshops on healthy lifestyles, social responsibility and Olympism. They will also take part in informal chats known as "chat with champions."[3][4]
