The California Golden State Choral Competition is an invitation-only event that brings the top ten high school choirs in the Northern California region together for friendly showcase and competition.[1] Its stated mission is "To seek out and award choral excellence throughout the state of Califnoia". There are two divisions: Large Choir and Small Choir. The event starts off with performances, and concludes with an awards ceremony. The Large Choir Division Champions of the previous year's competition do not compete but host the event, and perform during the concluding Concert and Awards Ceremony.
