Nocturnus is a two-track EP from Florida death metal band, Nocturnus. It was released in 1993 on Moribund Records and follows the full-length studio album, Thresholds. It features a different line-up in that Jeff Estes and Mike Browning were replaced by Emo Mowery and James Marcinek on bass and drums respectively.
Originally the Nocturnus EP was intended as a mere demo, as the band was working at the time on a followup to Thresholds which featured the two listed songs as well as "The Invertebrate Plague", "The Great Spot" and an early version of "Orbital Decay". This album never saw the light of day. "Possess The Priest" was actually a reworked version of a very early Nocturnus song.
The band split up shortly after this release and did not record again until 2000 when Ethereal Tomb became their short-lived comeback album.
