Ngenest the Movie (original title: Ngenest: Kadang Hidup Perlu Ditertawakan) was an 2016 Indonesian comedy film, directed and screewriter by Ernest Prakasa. The film is an adapted from trilogy sequel novel: Ngenest - Ngetawain Hidup Ala Ernest Prakasa of part 1, 2 and 3 by Multivision Plus. Produced by Chand Parwez Servia and Fiaz Servia, its stars Ernest Prakasa, Lala Karmela, Morgan Oey, Franda, Olga Lydia, Ferry Salim, Brandon Salim, Amel Carla and Kevin Anggara.
The film has lifted about the life of the Chinese ethnic have been discriminated, because of differences in ethnicity when childhood.[1] Ngenest the Movie has nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay categories at 36th Indonesian Film Festival and winning for Best Scenario Writer at 2016 Indonesian Box Office Movie Awards.
