New Zealand black rabbit
The New Zealand black rabbit is a rabbit breed of American origins, despite the name of the breed. Specimens may be colored white, red, black, broken or blue. When full grown, they can weigh between 4 and 5 kg (10-12 pounds), making them one of the larger breeds of rabbits. The normal amount of kits they have is 7-8, but they can have up to 15 during a single pregnancy.
New Zealand rabbits are available in three ARBA-recognized colors: white, red, black, broken and blue, though the blues are not yet showable.
They are used for all purposes and can be used as pets. Rabbits of this breed are of friendly nature, and can be trained to live inside with the aid of a litter box.
