New York Journal of Books (NYJB) is a free online book review site established in 2009.[1]
New York Journal of Books was founded by Ted Sturtz and its publisher is Lisa Rojany Buccieri.[2][3] Its reviewers are largely traditionally published authors, but also include unpublished professionals who review books in their areas of expertise.[2] NYJB's reviewers have included National Book Award finalist, Beth Kephart;[4] author William Martin (novelist);[5] Pulitzer-winning journalist and author William Dietric;[6] romance novelist Eloisa James; Aphrodite Jones,[7] Jon Land; and Sam Millar; and others.[2]
According to the website, "The publication of a book is like the proverbial silent tree falling in the forest...and the reviewer's job is to tell the world.".[8]
