Netherlands participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2011 in Düsseldorf, Germany, selecting their song through the national final Nationaal Songfestival 2011, organised by Dutch broadcaster TROS. In July 2010 TROS announced that they had internally selected the male trio 3JS to represent Netherlands in at the Contest in Germany.

On 14 July, popular radio DJ Giel Beelen spread the rumour that the 3JS would represent the Netherlands at the Eurovision Song Contest 2011. However neither TROS nor the band members of 3JS confirmed the news.[1]

On the morning radio show Gouden Uren on 15 July, Daniël Dekker confirmed that the 3JS would be the Dutch entrant for the 2011 Eurovision Song Contest. The group produced five songs before the end of the year, and a national final named Nationaal Songfestival 2011 was held, where the public (50%) and a professional jury (50%) selected the final song they would take to Germany.[2][3] The Nationaal Songfestival 2011 took place on 30 January 2011.[4]

The jury was joined by:[5]
