Neer Dose (Kannada: ನೀರ್ ದೋಸೆ) is a 2016 Indian Kannada film written and directed by Vijaya Prasad starring Jaggesh and Hariprriya in the lead roles.[3] Suman Ranganathan and H. G. Dattatreya appear in supporting roles.[4]
Produced by Ashu Bedra and backed by the technical team of Vijaya Prasad's previous directorial Sidlingu, the film went on floors in October 2012.[5] However the shooting of the film resumed in the month of June 2015 after many controversial speculations and delays with regards to the casting[6][7][8] and other production issues.[9][10] It was one of the Superhit films of the 2016.[1]
This is actor H. G. Dattatreya's 100th film where he plays a bachelor.[11]
The film explores the journey of three friends played by Hariprriya, Jaggesh and Dattanna, who are of different ages. While the film explores two sides of each character, the story brings in humor and drama.
The film finally released on September 2, 2016. Critics praised the screenplay, the cinematography and the performances of the lead actors.
Plot[12]
The viewer is invited to follow the life of four characters — Jaggesh Kumar (Jaggesh), a crematorium van driver, Dattatreya (H.G.Dattatreya), a retired man, Kumudha (Haripriya), a sex worker and Sharada Mani (Suman Ranganathan), a milk stall owner. When the film opens, all four characters have already met. So the film’s agenda is to tell how they met, what their individual back stories are like and what role neer dosa has played in their life.
The first half is more about how the three meet each other for an unusual friendship. Their background saga continues as they are on road trip to Surathkal near Mangaluru.

A meeting was called by Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce - KFCC on 6 November 2013, but was later postponed to 25 November citing actress Ramya's busy political schedule.[16]

Release and Reviews
The film was released on September 2, 2016 and hit the big screen on the event of Ganesha Festival. The trailer and music have reached well into the audience with 19 lakh views in Social Media. The film got released in 120 theaters.
The story is being narrated with a lot of double entendre one-liners for which the movie has bagged 'A' certificate. The movie opened on a good note and had mixed reactions from the critics. Overall the movie was praised for the screenplay, the cinematography the performances of the lead actors.
One of the review said : "In a different perspective, Vijaya Prasad has his own profound way of talking about life while staying away from preachy and philosophical touch.".
Another one quoted : "Jaggesh and Dattanna, the two fine actors are yet again at their best performances and a treat while they make it look very natural. Hariprriya as Kumuda is the real change over for the actress, who has pulled it with ace marks. Irrespective of how 'Neer Dose' turns out to be at the end of the day before the box office, Hariprriya's effortless acting will be an everlasting remark in her career. No wonder, even if she manages to win an award or two for this daring one."
