Noman Ijaz (Urdu: نعمان اعجاز) is a Pakistani television and film actor as well as anchor and presenter.[1] Active from late 1980's, he has played several roles and has been senior actor on state Television PTV.[2]
Early life
Ijaz grew up in Ichra town. His father worked in a movie theatre as a manager. He started his education at Cathedral High School Lahore, later attended Divisioanl Public School Model Town, Lahore . He completed his education later from Forman Christian College and Quaid-e-Azam Law College. He started his acting career in a small appearance in a drama serial in 1988.[1]
Career
Ijaz began his acting career with PTV with short appearance in a direction of Nusrat Thakur. He then did a serial from Quetta centre. He appeared in different roles, including negative roles in the dramas Rihaee and Ullu Baraye Farokht Nahi was. He then appeared in Ramchand Pakistani where he romanced Nandita Das.[3] He hosted a show on PTV Home.[4] In 2011, Ijaz received a Pride of Performance award from the President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari.[5]
Currently, he is hosting a show on PTV Home and in Mazaq Raat, a comedy Talk Show on Dunya TV with title.[6]
