Narges Rashidi
Narges Rashidi (Persian: نرگس رشیدی) is an Iranian-German actress.
She studied film acting in Berlin, Germany and after graduation from school she starred in the film A2Z by Daryush Shokof with a strong performance next to the veteran Jack Taylor, which gained her the first award for best acting as the new and upcoming young actress in 2007.
Rashidi gradually continued to the mainstream films in Germany and soon acted in German television productions, but also remained active with art house and independent films such as Breathful, and Asudem by Daryush Shokof. In 2016 she starred in Under the Shadow by Babak Anvari, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was acquired by Netflix for streaming distribution.[1]

Awards
- Narges Rashidi won the Best Breakthrough actress award as the lead actress in the film A2Z by Daryush Shokof at the New York International Film and Video Festival NYIIFVF in 2007.
