Nanjing College for Population Programme Management

Nanjing College for Population Programme Management is so "population science" features, to manage and economics-oriented disciplines, both laws, arts, science and other subjects; of Ministry, based in Jiangsu, students nationwide in institutions of higher learning. The college has been a national population and family planning cadre base for training senior management. It is also the United Nations designated senior officer training base.

Overview

To encourage the majority of college students to improve education levels the college, since 2001, selects outstanding students to be undergraduate students. The college has a reasonable structure, excellent quality and a vibrant team of teachers, of which more than 32% are associate professors. The college has also hired a number of well known senior domestic and foreign academic experts and scholars as part-time professors. The School of International Academic exchanges activities with the academic institutions and international organizations in the United States, Canada, UK, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Egypt, Vietnam and other countries and regions. The aim is to establish long-term cooperative relations, promoting scientific disciplines and research development. In 2002 the college had graduates session of the national levels in English exam pass rate of 100%, the state six English exam pass rate was 35%, and PubMed admission rate was 35%.

History

The college has been a national population and family planning cadre base for training senior management, but is also the United Nations designated senior officer training base. In recent years, the college has been involved in the cause of development. Since 1980 the school has been in the care and attention of the state. Investment in education increases every year, and it also received the United Nations Population Fund. In 1997 the school was named by the Adult Education State Board of Education, "National Outstanding School" . In 1999 the Central Steering Committee for the construction of spiritual civilization awarded the school the "advanced unit in the construction of spiritual civilization" title.

The college, set up by the state in 1980, is one of the earliest projects receiving foreign aid and the only one directly under the State Family Planning Commission Higher Institute of Nanjing Population Management Institutions. In 1980, College was called Nanjing Institute of family planning training center, simply take the responsibility of training the cadres of population programme management. In 1991, it was renamed as Nanjing College for Population Programme Management, changed from a simple extension for the training of cadres in population, economic and social development needs of all kinds of talents.
