Michael D. Vasilinda is a news reporter from Tallahassee, Florida.
Career
Vasilinda's career began as a student Florida State University. In January 1974, he founded Capitol Report airing on Florida Public Radio. Vasilinda was then hired to do freelance radio reporting and in 1975, Capitol News Service was founded where Vasilida actually began his formal career. In 1978, Vasilinda purchased video equipment and began receiving a monthly retainer and by 1983 CNS owned the 3rd Sony Betacam. He was also with Florida's News Channel before it folded in 2003. Vasilinda is the president of Mike Vasilinda Productions (MVP), a high definition, television and video production company located in Tallahassee.[1]

Family
Mike Vasilinda is married to Michelle Rehwinkel Vasilinda, a Democratic politician who serves as the member of the Florida House of Representatives from District 9. They have two children: Anna Laura Rehwinkel, Catherine Rehwinkel.[2]
