The Short-tailed pipefish, (Microphis brachyurus), is a species of fish in the Syngnathidae family. It is found from most Oceanian and Asian countries such as southern India, Sri Lanka, Japan, Nicobar Islands, and few parts of African countries such as Kenya, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Mauritius. The distribution in United States and Puerto Rico is not yet confirmed. The species measured 19.0 centimetres (7.5 in) SL in length.[1]
Ecology
Short-tailed pipefish are a widespread species living in streams, rivers and estuaries.[1]
