The Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, commonly known as McPier or MPEA, is a corporation that owns and manages Navy Pier and McCormick Place in Chicago.
McPier was created by the Illinois General Assembly in 1989 by the "Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority Act".[1] The authority's responsibilities in the McCormick Place campus include the Hyatt Regency McCormick Place hotel.[2]
By 2017, McPier plans to build a 10,000-seat arena called McCormick Place Events Center for DePaul University.[3]
