Merku Thodarchi Malai is an upcoming Indian Tamil feature film directed by debutant Lenin Bharathi. Produced by actor Vijay Sethupathi, the film features newcomers in the lead and has music by Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja.[1][2]
The film has been selected as one among 18 films for 21st International Film Festival of Kerala.[3] It also won the Best cinematography award at Bioscope Global Film Festival, Punjab.[4]

Production
Lenin Bharathi is the credited story-writer of Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer (In 8th vijay awards Lenin bharathi Nominated - Best story writer for Aadhalal kadhal seiveer ) and has also majorly contributed for Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai. Lenin's father and Ilayaraaja are longtime friends and this story is believed to be a landscape based film, high on emotions. The film's story was narrated to Vijay Sethupathi almost a year back and he so badly wanted to be associated with such a quality product and the time has finally come.[5] The film will begin shooting from 5 January/February 2017.[6] shooting will finish on 25-3-2017. The movie would be censored on 31-12-2017. The movie will get 'U' certificate. MTM also nominate for national award 2017. Merku thodarchi malai selected in IFFK 2017.
