Mel Boehland is a former American football coach in the United States.
Coaching career
Northwestern (Minnesota)
Boehland was the head college football coach for the Northwestern (MN) Eagles located in Roseville, Minnesota. He held that position for 15 seasons, from 1974 until 1988. His coaching record at Northwestern (MN) was 77 wins, 56 losses and 1 tie. As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #2 at the school in total wins and #2 at the school in winning percentage (.578).[1]
North Park
After Northwestern, Boehland became the head coach for the North Park Vikings located in Chicago, Illinois. He held that position for the 1989 season.[2] His coaching record at North Park was 1 win and 8 losses. As of the conclusion of the 2012 season, this ranks him #14 at North Park in total wins and #12 at the school in winning percentage (.111).[3][4]
