Mahdi Khodabakhshi (Persian: مهدی خدابخشی, born April 21, 1991 in Tonekabon, Iran) is an Iranian taekwondo practitioner. He has been practicing for more than 15 years. He has beaten several Taekwondo notables such as Aaron Cook and Steven Lopez and is the current world champion. He is currently ranked 1st in the welterweight division.[1] Also he additionally won the gold medal in the welterweight division in the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon.[2] He is a participant of the 2016 Rio Olympics.[3]
