Mebonden is a village that is the administrative centre of the municipality of Selbu in Sør-Trøndelag county, Norway. It is located at the eastern end of the lake Selbusjøen at the mouth of the Nea River.
The villages of Vikvarvet, Hyttbakken, Innbygda, and Trøa surround the urban village of Mebonden. The 1.01-square-kilometre (250-acre) village of Mebonden has a population (2013) of 876. The population density of Mebonden is 867 inhabitants per square kilometre (2,250/sq mi).[1]
The 12th century Selbu Church is located in Mebonden.
