Max Cannon
Max Cannon is author and creator of the independent comic strip Red Meat.
Cannon began producing the strip in 1989 for the Arizona Daily Wildcat, the student newspaper of the University of Arizona (although he was not a student there at the time). The strip was later picked up by the Tucson Weekly, and it now appears in over 75 alternative weeklies. It also appears in The A.V. Club section of the satirical newspaper, The Onion.
Cannon is also creator of the Comedycentral.com webshow, Shadow Rock available now on Atom.com.
Cannon lives in Tucson, Arizona, U.S. with his two young children. He hosts a monthly short film contest at the Loft Cinema. A longtime fan of Marvel Comics, Cannon recently did work for them.[1]
His comic strip can be viewed at www.redmeat.com.
