Mauricio Laureano Alvarenga Barraza (born June 24, 1951 in El Salvador) Nicknamed Tarzan is a retired Salvadoran professional footballer [1]
Club career
Alvarenga played the majority of his career at Salvadoran Premier League clubs such as Atletico Marte, Negocios Internacionales, Tapachulteca, Once Lobos, Metapan, Although he spent a season abroad in Guatemala giant C.S.D. Municipal and San jaquin in Belize [2]
International career
Alvarenga became first choice goalkeeper for the Under 20 El Salvador side, He would make history along with his teammates by winning 1964 CONCACAF Youth Tournament the first and so far only time El Salvador has won that title. Alvarenga made his El Salvador in the 1970s and has earned caps, scoring no goals. He has represented his country in 1 FIFA World Cup qualification matches[3]
