The Massachusetts Charter School Expansion Initiative, also known as Question 2, is an indirect initiated state statute question to would lift the cap of up to 12 new charter schools or enrollment expansions in existing charter schools by the state Board of Elementary and Secondary Education per year.[1]

If the ballot measure had been approved, the proposed law would have taken effect January 1, 2017. The measure was rejected.
