Malindi Mosque

Minaret

Malindi Mosque is a mosque in Stone Town, Zanzibar, located near the port.[1] It is one of the oldest mosques in Zanzibar, dated to the 15th century.[2] It was built by Sunni Muslims and it has some unusual architectural features, including a cone-shaped minaret (one of just three minarets of this shape in East Africa) and a square platform.
