Malacoptila is a genus of puffbird in the Bucconidae family, one of ten genera. It contains the following seven species:
- Black-streaked puffbird (Malacoptila fulvogularis)
- White-chested puffbird (Malacoptila fusca)
- Moustached puffbird (Malacoptila mystacalis)
- White-whiskered puffbird (Malacoptila panamensis)
