The METRA Transit System is the primary provider of mass transportation in Muscogee County, Georgia. The agency was founded in 1978 after the bankruptcy of Howard Bus Lines, the private company that had previously provided public transportation to the area.[1] Currently, nine routes serve the city, providing service from Monday through Saturday.[2]
