Loxostege typhonalis is a moth in the Crambidae family. It was described by Barnes and McDunnough in 1914.[2] It is found in North America, where it has been recorded from Arizona and New Mexico.[3]

The wingspan is 18-20 mm. The forewings are ochreous brown. The hindwings are pale ochreous, but darker at the margins.[4] Adults are on wing from July to September.[5]
