Louisiana Highway 772 (LA 772) runs 10.59 miles (17.04 km) in a general east–west direction from LA 8 west of Jena to a local road at Routon, La Salle Parish.[4]
From the west, LA 772 heads north from LA 8 to a junction with US 84 in the community of Trout. US 84 and LA 772 travel eastward concurrently for the next 4 miles (6.4 km) through the small community of Midway and the town of Jena. In the center of Jena, US 84 and LA 772 intersect LA 127 and begin a concurrency with LA 8. Shortly after intersecting LA 459, US 84/LA 8 curves to the southeast while LA 772 continues due east out of town. East of Jena, LA 772 curves to the northeast into an area known as Routon, where state maintenance ends at Pritchard Road.
