Campus
The college campus consists of two buildings, with the new building housing the Computer and Electronics Engineering departments, while the older building houses the Electrical, Electronics and Telecommunication and Mechanical Engineering departments. Other notable areas of the campus include a large hall located on the fifth floor, which are primarily used for guest seminars, academic conferences and other cultural activities. The mechanical workshop is located in the ground floors of the two buildings and is generally well equipped.
Library
Library occupies one half of the entire fifth floor of the old building. It is well stocked with all the relevant books, guides, and project manuals as well as technical journals, etc. It has a multimedia lab, providing free access to technical papers such as the IEEE, collection of NPTEL lectures, etc. The reading hall is composed of tiny cubicles clubbed together, which facilitates a quiet reading environment.
Research and development
The R&D lab which first commenced in 2004. Both the students as well as the faculty are actively involved with incoming projects from adjacent industries. In 2005, the college succeeded in receiving a sponsored and collaborative research project in association with Konkan Railway Corporation Limited, which was completed in 2008.
Annual Events
The college successfully carries out many cultural and technical events every year. The technical festival consists of challenging robotics competitions, technical paper presentations, technical seminars, workshops and intelligence quizzes. Initially, five technical festivals were held every year till 2007 — Surge (Elec.), Ethos (Comp.), Zigma (ELEX), Mechtrix (MECH) and Threshold (EXTC). The technical festivals were then merged to form Tech-Zephyr; the named is derived from Zephyr, the college's cultural festival. Unlike most other engineering colleges, LT holds a 'parents teachers meet' after mid-term exams where a student's academic performance is reviewed.
Zephyr
Zephyr is the only cultural festival under Mumbai University to have been amongst the very first to apply for and clinched a trademark. (Zephyr is a service marked event and the school is proud of the fact that ZEPHYR SM is a brand.) Zephyr is the only known cultural festival in India which has taken up the environmental cause of global warming.
Zephyr’s core audience consists of ecologically and socially conscious people throughout Mumbai and across the state of Maharashtra consisting largely of cultural creatives who actively support sociological causes like global warming, AIDS, etc. Attendees represent one of the fastest growing markets in India with attendees largely coming from Mumbai and its surrounding education hubs, often cited as the most open-minded and socially progressive regions in the country.
Zephyr is held during the summer term, which attracts students from engineering colleges all over Navi Mumbai to participate. The most notable events are the 'War of Bands', 'dance competitions', 'Dramatics', 'Fashion Shows', 'singing competitions', etc.[3]
