History and amenities

Joseph Bradney, the historian, acquired, partly by inheritance and partly purchase, an estate at Tal-y-coed Court, where he settled at an early age.[1] A Latin tablet in St. Michael's Church at Llanvihangel-Ystern-Llewern records his achievements.

The Offa's Dyke Path long distance footpath passes through the village. The village has a parish church dedicated to St. Michael.
