Liu Pan was a military general during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history. He was the nephew of Liu Biao, governor of Jing Province, and defended You County of Changsha Commandery along with Huang Zhong. At one time, he led many courageous attacks on Yang and fought against Taishi Ci of Eastern Wu, but was discouraged and finally vanished.
According to Luo Guanzhong's historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms, after the Battle of Red Cliffs, Liu Pan joined Liu Bei on the recommendation of Huang Zhong, and was afterwards placed in charge of Changsha Commandery.
