This article lists political parties in Togo. Togo is a one party dominant state with the Rally of the Togolese People in power. Opposition parties are allowed, but are widely considered to have no real chance of gaining power.
The parties
- Rally for the Togolese People (Rassemblement du Peuple Togolais)
- Democratic Opposition (In the 2005 presidential election, opposition candidate Emmanuel Bob-Akitani of the Union of Forces for Change gained the support of five other political parties. The grouping is commonly known as the "Democratic Opposition", although government publications refer to them as the "Radical Opposition".)
