List of international cricket centuries by Ross Taylor
Ross Taylor is a cricketer who represents the New Zealand national cricket team.[2] He has scored centuries (100 or more runs in a single innings) in Test and One Day International (ODI) matches on sixteen and fifteen occasions respectively.[3][4] As of November 2015, he has played 66 Tests and 166 ODIs for New Zealand, scoring 5,121 and 5,621 runs respectively.[2]
Taylor made his Test debut against South Africa at New Wanderers Stadium, Johannesburg, in November 2007.[5] His first century came four months later against England at the Seddon Park, Hamilton.[6] His highest score of 290 came against Australia at the The WACA, Perth in 2015.[7] Taylor has scored Test centuries at nine cricket grounds, including five at venues outside New Zealand.[8][9] He has scored his thirteen Test centuries against seven different opponents; he is most successful against West Indies, making three against centuries them. As of 2015, Taylor is second among the Test century makers for New Zealand, only behind Martin Crowe.[10]
Taylor made his ODI debut in March 2006 against West Indies at McLean Park, Napier, a match New Zealand won by 91 runs.[11] His first century came in December 2006 against Sri Lanka at the same ground, scoring 128 not out New Zealand lost the match by seven wickets.[12] His highest ODI score of 131 not out came against Pakistan at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium during the 2011 Cricket World Cup.[13] Taylor's 102 not out off 70 balls against Pakistan in February 2015 was the hundredth ODI century scored by a New Zealand batsman.[14][15] He has played 64 Twenty20 International (T20I) matches, without scoring a century,[16] his highest score being 63 runs.[2] As of 2015, Taylor is joint 40th in the list of century-makers in international cricket, all formats of the game combined, alongside Graham Gooch & highest century-maker for New Zealand across all formats.[17]
