Amy Adams is an American actress who has received various awards and nominations, including two Golden Globe Awards, four Critics’ Choice Awards and a Screen Actors Guild Award. Additionally, she has been nominated for five Academy Awards, five BAFTA Awards, five Satellite Awards, seven MTV Movie Awards and six Teen Choice Awards.

Adams's breakout role in the 2005 acclaimed independent comedy-drama Junebug earned her the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress nomination. Her performance also won her several other awards including a Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Supporting Actress and an Independent Spirit Award for Best Supporting Actress. In 2007, she starred in the Walt Disney's romantic fairytale Enchanted , for which she won the Saturn Award for Best Actress, and was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical and the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress.

The following year, her portrayal of a nun in the drama Doubt, she was nominated for the Academy Award, the Golden Globe Award, the SAG Award and the Best Actress in a Supporting Role. In 2010, she received the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, the SAG Award, the BAFTA Award and the Critic's Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the autobiographical drama The Fighter. The 2012 drama The Master also garnered her several nominations including the Academy Award, Golden Globe Award, the BAFTA Award and the Critic's Choice Award nominations for Best Supporting Actress.

For her performance as a con artist in the 2013 crime comedy-drama American Hustle, Adams won the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical and the Critics' Choice Movie Award for Best Actress in a Comedy and received her first Academy Award for Best Actress nomination. Her portrayal of Margaret Keane in the autobiographical drama Big Eyes, she won a second consecutive Golden Globe Award for Best Actress – Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, becoming the fourth actress to achieve this feat. For the film, she also received her second nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
