List of Toledo Walleye seasons
The Toledo Walleye are a professional ice hockey team based in Toledo, Ohio. The team is a member of the North Division of the Eastern Conference of the ECHL. The Walleye were founded in 1991 as the Toledo Storm. The team was purchased by Toledo Arena Sports, Inc., which suspended the franchise's operations to wait for the construction of Huntington Center in downtown Toledo. The Walleye would return from their suspension of operations in 2009.
The team made a playoff appearance during their inaugural season as the Walleye in 2010, where they lost in the first round. The Walleye returned to the playoffs in 2013, only to lose in the first round again. In the 2013-2014 season the Walleye suffered through Toledo's worst season in the ECHL with only 49 points and a 20th (out of 21) place finish in the league. The next season the team rebounded to win their first division title and collected the most points in Toledo ECHL history. The 2014-15 Walleye had the best record in the league, winning their first Brabham Cup. They also broke the league record for best point turnaround (+58). In the playoffs the Walleye set an ECHL record for most game sevens with 3, ultimately losing the last in triple overtime to the Eastern Conference champion South Carolina Stingrays. The 15-16 team repeated as division champions and finished second in the league with 99 points. The Walleye also set the ECHL record for fewest penalty minutes (665). In the postseason, the Walleye fell in the first round to Reading.
