Lelkowo [lɛlˈkɔvɔ] (German: Lichtenfeld) is a village in Braniewo County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia. It is the seat of the gmina (administrative district) called Gmina Lelkowo.[1] It lies approximately 27 kilometres (17 mi) east of Braniewo and 64 km (40 mi) north of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia). Following World War II the native German populace was expelled and replaced by Poles.
The village has a population of 1,080.
